General Terms and Conditions.

Last updated: 8 October 2026 · Version 2.1

The rules for the website, the free evenings and the paid annual partnership. If you’re buying a partnership package as a private individual, the most important section for you is Section 8 — your right to cancel within 14 days.

This information is published pursuant to Article 4(1) of the Electronic Commerce Act. Hereinafter, we shall be referred to as „we“ or „the organisation“, and you as „you“ or „the user“. Where a provision applies only to consumers within the meaning of the Consumer Protection Act – that is, to natural persons acting outside the scope of their commercial or professional activities – this is expressly stated.

Gabrovo Informal is a trade mark and an initiative of Digital New Era Ltd. We are not a political organisation, we are not a municipal project, and we are not a non-profit organisation.

2. What we offer

  • Free singles’ nights. In-person events in Gabrovo with free admission and compulsory registration.
  • Annual partnership. A paid service with a duration of twelve months, which funds the programme, the platform and the content, and provides the partner with the visibility and access described in section 6.
  • Information content. The website, the reports, the catalogue and the recorded conversations.

3. Use of the website

This website is for information purposes only. By using it, you agree to these terms and conditions. If you do not agree, simply do not use it.

Attempts to compromise security, automated data extraction, misuse of the forms or use of the content for misleading purposes are not permitted.

4. Tickets for the evenings

  • Admission is free, but registration is compulsory.
  • The ticket is non-transferable and cannot be passed on to another person.
  • Places are limited by the venue’s capacity. Registration will close once all places are filled.
  • If you’re not coming, please let us know so we can free up the place. You don’t owe us anything, but the place will remain empty for someone else.
  • The details you enter must be correct.
  • These events are for people aged 16 and over.

As no payment is due for the ticket, the provisions on the right of withdrawal in distance contracts do not apply. Cancellation of a booking can be made by letter and has no consequences.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel a registration if a person’s behaviour contravenes the rules set out in Section 5.

5. Match rules

There’s no dress code and no formalities, but there are three things we expect from everyone:

  • Respect. No insults, bullying, discrimination or aggression. Zero tolerance.
  • No hard-selling. A conversation is a conversation, not a presentation. Nobody has come here to be sold to.
  • No politics. The community is politically independent. The meetings are not a forum for party campaigning.

Anyone who breaches these rules may be asked to leave and may be barred from attending future meetings. Should a partnership be terminated on these grounds, Section 9 shall apply.

6. Annual partnership

The partnership is a service contract with a term of twelve months, concluded remotely via the website. It can be purchased by both legal entities and individuals.

6.1 Levels and prices

LevelPrice including VATPrice excluding VAT
Friend250.00 EUR208.33 EUR
Partner500.00 EUR416.67 EUR
Lead partner1,000.00 EUR833.33 EUR
Talks Partner2,500.00 EUREUR 2,083.33

Prices are annual and final, and include VAT at 20 per cent.

Until 8 October 2026, the „Lead Partner“ level was known as „Lead“. The change is only in the name — the scope of rights and the price remain unchanged, and contracts already concluded are not affected.

What each level involves is described in the comparison table on the home page. It forms part of these terms and conditions.

6.2 Conclusion of the contract

  1. Select a tier on the website and click the payment button.
  2. Payment is made by card via Stripe. We do not receive or store your card details.
  3. The contract is deemed to have been concluded as soon as the payment has been confirmed by Stripe.
  4. You will receive a confirmation by email containing these terms and conditions and information regarding your right of withdrawal. This constitutes the confirmation on a durable medium referred to in Article 49(8) of the Consumer Protection Act.
  5. We issue invoices within the time limit specified in Article 113 of the Value Added Tax Act.

6.3 Duration and renewal

The partnership is automatically renewed every year and Stripe will process a new payment on the same date, unless you cancel it beforehand. Cancellation is done by writing to hello@gabrovoinformal.com and takes effect from the end of the current pay period.

We will send you a reminder by email at least fourteen days before each renewal.

7. What does the partner receive?

Our obligations under the partnership are those listed in the table for the relevant level, and that is all. We undertake to exercise due care, but we do not guarantee a specific number of visitors, a specific number of leads, media coverage or commercial results. The partnership is not an advertisement with guaranteed reach.

If, through our own fault, we fail to provide a substantial part of what is described for that level, the partner is entitled to request a proportionate reduction in the price or to terminate the contract with a refund for the unused period.

At the partner’s express request, the level of participation is not disclosed publicly. In this case, the partner is not included in the comparative table or listed amongst the supporters, whilst all other rights under the selected package remain in full force.

8. Right of withdrawal for consumers

If you are a private individual and are purchasing a partnership outside the scope of your business or profession, you have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days, without giving any reason and without being liable for any compensation or penalty. This right derives from Article 50 of the Consumer Protection Act and may not be restricted.

8.1 Time limit

The period is 14 days and runs from the date the contract is concluded, i.e. from the date of confirmed payment. If we have not informed you of this right, the period is extended to one year and 14 days in accordance with Article 51 of the Consumer Protection Act.

8.2 How it is carried out

Write to us at hello@gabrovoinformal.com with a clear statement that you are withdrawing. You can also use the standard form, but you are not obliged to. It is sufficient to send the message before the deadline expires.

We confirm receipt without delay.

8.3 What we accept for return

We will refund all amounts received from you within 14 days of the date on which we became aware of the cancellation, using the same payment method you used to make the payment, unless you expressly agree otherwise. We will not charge you any fees for the refund.

8.4 If you have requested that the service commence immediately

If you have expressly requested that performance commence before the expiry of the 14-day period and subsequently withdraw from the contract, you shall be liable to pay an amount proportional to the part of the service actually provided up to the time of withdrawal, calculated on the basis of the total agreed price. Basis: Article 55(5) of the Consumer Protection Act.

Example: with a balance of 1,000 EUR and cancellation on the tenth day, the amount due is around 27 EUR, and the remainder is refunded to you.

8.5 When the law does not apply

The right of withdrawal does not apply to free tickets for the evening events, as no payment is due for them.

9. Termination and reinstatement outside the scope of the right of withdrawal

For users Once the 14-day period has expired, the partnership may be terminated at any time by giving written notice. Termination stops automatic renewal and takes effect from the end of the current paid period. The amount already paid for the current year is non-refundable, except in the cases set out in section 7, second sentence.

For legal entities and for individuals acting within the scope of their business activities, The right of withdrawal under Section 8 does not apply. Termination must be effected by letter, suspends renewal and takes effect from the end of the current paid period. The amount paid for the current year is non-refundable.

We may terminate a partnership early in the event of a breach of the rules set out in Section 5 or in the event of behaviour that is detrimental to the community. In such cases, we will refund the amount for the unused period.

10. Liability

We provide a platform for meeting people. We accept no liability for:

  • Agreements, transactions or relationships between the participants arising on or after a meeting.
  • Advice, promises or information exchanged between participants.
  • Lost property or personal injury at the venue.
  • Actions or omissions on the part of the host venue.

Each participant is responsible for their own decisions. Attendance is voluntary.

Nothing in this section excludes or limits our liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, nor does it affect the rights that users have under the law.

11. Changing or cancelling an event

We may need to change the date, time or venue, or, in the event of unforeseen circumstances, cancel the event. We will notify all registered participants by email as soon as possible.

As the tickets are free of charge, no financial claims arise in the event of cancellation. If we cancel an event that is expressly included in a partnership package, we will offer the partner either a replacement event or a proportionate reduction in price, at their discretion.

12. Photos and videos

Photographs and videos are taken at the events, which we publish on our website and on social media. There is a clearly visible sign at the entrance. If you do not wish to be photographed, please let the registration team know or contact us in advance — we will respect your wishes without asking for an explanation or questioning your reasons. If you are uncomfortable with a photo that has already been published, please contact us and we will remove it from our channels.

Further details, including the legal grounds, can be found in privacy policy.

13. Reviews

How we collect and verify reviews. The reviews published on the website have been collected via a questionnaire sent by email only to those who have registered and actually attended the event in question. We do not publish reviews from people who did not attend. We do not offer any remuneration, discount or other benefit in exchange for a review. We publish a review only if the author has given their explicit consent for publication, and only with their name, if they have chosen to do so. The text is published without any editorial changes to the content; we correct only spelling mistakes. We publish selected reviews, not all those received; the selection criteria are length and readability, not the rating.

This information is published in accordance with the transparency requirements regarding consumer reviews set out in Articles 68e and 68g of the Consumer Protection Act, which transpose Article 7(6) and Annex I of Directive 2005/29/EC, as amended by Directive (EU) 2019/2161.

14. Intellectual Property

The logo, the name ‘Gabrovo Informal’, the design and the text on the website are the property of Digital New Era Ltd. They may not be used without written permission, including for the organisation of similar events under the same or a similar name.

Our partner grants us a non-exclusive right to use its logo and name solely for the purposes of the partnership and for the duration of the partnership.

15. Personal data

How we process data is described in privacy policy, and the biscuits — in Cookie Policy.

16. Complaints and dispute resolution

If there’s a problem, please email hello@gabrovoinformal.com. We will reply within 14 days.

If we are unable to reach an agreement, as a consumer you may refer the matter to a conciliation committee or to the supervisory authority:

17. Applicable law

Bulgarian law applies to these terms and conditions. If you are a consumer with your habitual residence in another European Union country, you retain the protection afforded by the mandatory provisions of your own law. Disputes shall be resolved by mutual agreement; if this is not possible, they shall be settled by the competent Bulgarian court.

18. Changes to the terms and conditions

We may update these terms and conditions. The current version is always available on this page, with the date shown at the top. In the event of a material change affecting an existing partnership, we will notify partners by email at least 30 days in advance. If a partner does not accept the change, they may terminate the partnership without penalty.

For contracts that have already been concluded, the version that was in force at the time of conclusion shall apply.
